Cara’s practice concentrates on commercial litigation, commercial real estate and business transactions, and bankruptcy-creditor rights. Cara has significant experience in complex commercial real estate and business litigation cases and handles complex multi-million dollar commercial transactions for financial institutions, corporate and individual clients. In her bankruptcy practice, Cara has represented corporate debtors, bankruptcy trustees and creditors, has handled a multi-million dollar Ponzi scheme case and several complex business reorganizations. She practices in both state and federal courts and is licensed in both Tennessee and Georgia. She has served three terms as a member of the Board of Directors for the Mid-South Commercial Law Institute and currently serves as the President of the Institute. Cara previously served on the Hearing Panel of Tennessee Board of Professional Responsibility. She has been selected as a Super Lawyer in Business Litigation and Transaction and Bankruptcy-Creditor Rights since 2022.
